It’s nice to go out and eat once in a while, isn’t it? Letting someone else prepare, serve and clean up after a good meal, while you have a nice conversation with friends and family, can be very enjoyable. It can also be quite costly.
Today of course there are apps for practically everything on our smartphones and, you guessed it, there are even apps available that can help you to save money at your local restaurants. A number of those are listed below for your perusal. Enjoy.
Groupon was one of the leaders of the “deal movement” in the last few years, helping people everywhere to get awesome discounts at many local businesses, including restaurants. Their new app, Savored, helps you to not only make reservations at your favorite eatery but also to save money when eating there.
Depending on the amount of people that will be eating with you, you can save between 15 and 50%. Once you make your reservation the rest is done automatically, but keep in mind that many restaurants, depending on the size of your party, will automatically add a gratuity to your final cost.
If you’re keen on getting a 50% discount from participating restaurants, Scout Mob will let you do that by adding a deal and then showing your smartphone screen when you arrive in order to get that discount. Depending on the city that you live in you might not find a lot of restaurants with the Scout Mob app just yet, but their list is definitely growing. Also, many of the places that are on their list have a maximum of $10 in savings so it’s not exactly a 50% discount off of your meal’s entire cost.
If you like to read detailed reviews of a restaurant before you go there to eat, as well as get a great deal from time to time, Blackboard Eats is definitely the app for you. Once you log in you can use their “Guide” feature to find a restaurant closest to you or scan a list of them. Once you find one, you can tap on that restaurant and get an incredibly detailed review.
The app also lets you see if the restaurant has any current or upcoming specials by tapping the “Specials” button, which will occasionally get you a discount off of your bill or something for free. If you enjoy researching and reading reviews about your restaurants before you go there, Blackboard Eats is the best way to do it.
