Many entrepreneurs spend an awful lot of time on the road and, if you’re one of them, you know how grueling it can be. The tips below were gathered from entrepreneurs all over the country and, if you’re like them and you travel a lot, they should help you to make your travel a little bit less stressful. Enjoy.

Tip 1 is simply to use a checklist. No matter what you do, or what industry you happen to be in, keeping a checklist of all the things that you need to do and then checking them off as you get them done is one of the best ways to make sure that you don’t forget something. This can not only cut down on your stress but also on needless costs to purchase something that you forgot and that is now 5000 miles away.

Tip 2 is to keep some aspirin on hand at all times. The fact is, traveling long distances means sitting for many hours, carrying or lugging heavy bags and sleeping in beds that you aren’t used to. Having some aspirin on hand to take care of the inevitable body aches that you’re going to get is a good idea. Even better, it’s sometimes smart to take one or two aspirin before you get started on your trip.

Tip 3 is to always travel with one or two energy bars in your travel bag. You never know when delays or, seriously, food shortages will arise. In winter the risk is even greater, especially if a blizzard traps you in an airport for several days. You can also buy energy bars in bulk to save money and make sure you always have them on hand when you’re packing.

Tip 4 is to use the Note function on your smart phone keep track of hotel room numbers and any other important information that changes on a constant basis.

Tip 5 is to get Yelp on your smart phone and use it to find a good restaurant in whatever city you happen to be in. Yelp has so many features that you can use to determine where a good restaurant is located, if it’s open, if you can walk to it and obviously what kind of cuisine they offer, that having it on your smart phone is a definite must. If you travel outside of the United States, TripAdvisor is almost as good.

These 5 Tips will hopefully help to make all of that traveling a bit easier and less stressful. If you have any tips of your own that you want to share, please do and we’ll share them with our readers. Thanks!
